Like a bird, caged and silent

You have no song, no flight, no talent

You spend your days on empty joys

Having no voice for what is choice

 

All to drink, eat, sleep and snore

Having no passion, or zeal nor core

Ignoring the needs and deeds of the poor

Having no faith, no hope, no more

 

Enough, you dreamer of wealth

Aspire, to be an earner of worth

Arise from your sleep and learn some needs

Arise from your ease and do some deeds

Like a snail, slow and lazy

Like a cloud, dark and hazy

Like a weed, dry and withered

Like a stone, so unbothered

Wake up and see the light of day

Wake up and change your laxly ways

Wake up and seek a better fate

Wake up already before it is late

You have a life that is precious and rare

You have a mind that is bright and fair

You have a heart that can love and care

You have a soul that can soar and dare

Comments/Remarks: A poem about someone who makes no effort to earn a living, is always idle and indulges in excessive sleeping, drinking, and other pleasures instead being responsible and trying to achieve their goals in life. Someone who ignores their moral, spiritual and meaningful life and waste their life away. This poem rebukes people like that and at the same time admonishes them to rise up and strive for the best. To hold on fast to their good ethics, morales and behaviors that makes life worthwhile. -Michael Oppong.

The Power of Persistence: Finding Strength and Courage

When life seems hard and full of pain

And every path leads to a dead end

Don't lose your hope or faith in vain

But keep on fighting till the end

When obstacles and challenges arise

And every step feels like a test

Don't give up or compromise

But strive to do your best

When dreams and goals seem out of reach

And every effort seems in vain

Don't let your spirit ever breach

But persevere and try again

 

When darkness falls and clouds your sight

And every ray of light seems dim

Don't surrender to the night

But find the spark within

 

When you feel alone and misunderstood

And every voice seems to condemn

Don't let them break your mood

But seek the ones who understand

 

When you face failure and defeat

And every option seems to fail

Don't admit your own retreat

But rise again and prevail

E P I T O M E     O F      L O V E

First Chapter

 In the garden of hearts, where emotions bloom,

There lies a love, like sweet, fragrant perfume.

A patient love, unwavering and true, 

Enduring flaws, embracing what is you.

For love, my dear, is a steadfast art,

It waits in the shadows, a beating heart.

In your imperfections, it finds its grace,

A love that time nor distance can erase.

In your moment of doubt, when you stumble and fall, 

This patient love is there to catch you, standing tall.

It knows that in weakness, strength can be found,

In the dept of your soul, is where love is bound.

When I Met You

When I met you, 🌹

My heart leaped with joy and delight

And my mind surrendered to tranquility and grace

Stirring my senses to recognize that, 

True love is undeniable.

It fills you with bliss, everlasting bliss of fulfilment

And the peace of infinite intimacy.

My soul soared with hope and faith

And my body yielded to warmth and comfort

Awakening my spirit to embrace that,

Pure love is unbreakable.

It lifts you with grace, endless grace of happiness

And peace of boundless harmony.

My eyes sparkled with wonder and awe

And my voice echoed with praise and gratitude

Enlightening my being to affirm that,

Divine love is unstoppable.

It blesses you with light, eternal light of wisdom

And the peace of transcendent synchrony.

Show your acts of kindness to the world.

Daily anxieties will only cause you

 to lose focus and quit on the way. 

 Until you complete the whole process,

Stay strong, focused, and dedicated

There was Light but now Darkness

Skies looking Beautiful

As the Stars are Dazzling

 

Night has come again

As we lay our Heads

May we forget the Hurts

 Our works, not been mundane

Hopeful for the new days
